She’s a big fan of rugs – may it be small or the big Area Rugs. Her collection ranges from the very plain and simple but elegant ones to those colorful and striking rugs and not to mention, those catchy yet Cheap Rugs . She started her collection while she was still in college living apart from us. She had her own apartment then so she could give more time on her studies. But, looks like most of her time then was spent on rug-making and personalizing. Even before she graduated from college, she already had three sets of her own hand crafted rugs which include one for the living room, one for the front door, one for the dining area, and one for the kitchen. This set which she has instituted has been the trend within the family whenever we buy a new set of rugs. On her first year in the corporate world, she started her collection with the plain but matching set of rugs. She bought them online for a really good deal and never had the problem of carrying and transporting them. However, these past few years since she was promoted to be the head of their research department, she collected rugs from everywhere. She was sent to at least five states in the US including Hawaii, five countries in Asia including Thailand where there’s also a great market for rugs, to India and then Dubai. Imagine how many sets of rugs she has collected so far if you do the math. She has this eye when it comes to this stuff and a lot of people get amazed and amused of her collection. I don’t think she has ever thrown any piece away as these rugs are very sentimental to her. It’s like there are instilled memories for each piece of her rug collection.
