Good thing NSU is a treatable condition

When I began having some pain while urinating, I just knew it was time to have a check up with my doctor and as I got tested for so many things, the doctor initially told me I had NSU and I actually was scared at first as I did not know what in the world was NSU and it sounded something so serious like AIDS or something and it was explained to me that it was short for nonspecific urethritis which means I had an infection of my urethra or I could say it is just another form of UTI which I am more familiar with. It was more specific to say NSU as it was explained to me that there are 2 types of bacteria which can live in your body but generally causes no harm unless they multiply at an unchecked rate, for unknown reasons usually, and they can really cause an infection or inflammation. In my case, it was also unknown why I suddenly developed this pain in urinating and why I suddenly had an unbalance of this bacteria in my body. Good thing this is treatable and I was just given a simple course of antibiotics for at least 2 weeks to make sure it is all killed. But also as a precaution, since I was sexually active at this time, I was also told that this can also be sexually transmitted so precaution and safe sex is also useful to apply to prevent further infection or worsening of this condition. And I was told that if ever it recurred again and I don’t have the time to go to a doctor or hospital, I could simply log in online in www.theolineclinic.co.uk and there just fill up the necessary consultation form and I will be prescribed the necessary antibiotics there which is far more easier for me to do.
